Dear patients,

As the health and safety of my patients is of the greatest importance to me, in following public health authority recommendations on social distancing I have made the difficult decision to temporarily close my clinic in an effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Please be advised that Swiss Family Chiropractic will remain closed until May 19th. I will treat urgent patients on an individual basis.

All scheduled appointments for this time period will be cancelled/postponed, and patients will be contacted as soon as possible to reschedule.

As of May 19 we will move into Phase 2 of BC’s Restart Plan. As a regulated health professional, I am required to follow direction from my regulatory board – The College of Chiropractors of BC (CCBC), for a safe return to practice. They are working on developing effective and practical return to practice protocols which will be submitted to BC’s Provincial Health Officer (PHO) for approval, and any return to practice will occur under the guidance of the PHO.

The return to practice will likely be a gradual process, and may vary as conditions continue to change. As you can imagine, I will not be returning to practice like it was before COVID-19.  At this stage we don’t have a confirmed date for opening up. I will keep you updated over the coming days, as I hopefully receive information based on industry guidelines and regulatory requirements. Thank you for your patience as we work through all the pieces.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Trust that I recognize the importance of your health care appointments and appreciate your understanding as we navigate this unprecedented and challenging situation together.

Best regards,

Dr. Petra Rutz
