What is Chiropractic?

Your Body Is Amazingly Complex!

Your Body Is Amazingly Complex!

Chiropractors are doctors who are specialized in diagnosing and treating dysfunctions of the spine and other joints.

The word Chiropractic stems from greek, meaning moving with the hand. It has been practiced for hundreds of years.

In modern chiropractic most chiropractors still work with the hand to adjust the spine and other joints of the body to restore normal function and motion.

Different muscle release/ligament  techniques can be used to restore muscle and ligament function.

Doctors of Chiropractic are also trained in nutrition and can give advice on rehabilitative and preventative exercises.

Why Chiropractic Care?

Optimal function of the spine and any other joints is important not only for motion, but because the spine is the highway for all information going up and down between the brain and the body. If there is interference, stress or dysfunction in the joints of the spine, the transmission of the nerve information can be decreased.

In severe cases the nerve itself can be encroached by  different structures and create symptoms in the arms or legs. Your chiropractor is trained to diagnose your problem and advise you on the best approach for treatment.
